ホテルアベストグランデ 岡山 ～なごみの湯～

Best budget hotel I've ever stayed throughout Japan. Location is very near to the station with everything nearby. The mall Icot Nicot itself where the hotel is located at is already good enough. Staff is very friendly, greets you every time you return and even when you head out, even if you're jusy staying at the cabin room. Free coffee every morning and 1 special drink per person per day. Shared toilet and shower rooms are very clean. Cabin rooms are considered spacious unlike other capsules or shared dorms. There is also a working space, gym, and public bath, also available for cabin room guests. I would say this is the best, value for money accomodation I've experienced so far.

The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the station and right on top of a shopping mall. The hotel staff were very attentive and as soon as I started walking towards the elevators to go somewhere, the staff would come jogging by and push the button for me, and bow and say have a nice trip. They also handed out candy. Everyone gets a free welcome drink at the bar, and there was a self playing piano which was nice. I was shocked at how big the room was, lots of space! I will stay here again

It's a well furnished hotel with high quality trained staff, especially 新田 有麻, who is very friendly and passionate in her serving for guests who speak English. The cabin room is also good arranged with full privacy. Highly recommended for the bath area too!! Will definitely visit again when I come to Okayama next time.

The hotel is very modern en nicely styled. Also very clean. The staff is exceptionally attentive, every morning they give candy when you take the elevator, every evening you get a free drink from the bar. When you walk to your room the staff will come out and bow to you. I've never experienced this before. It feels like a 5 star hotel and I'm royalty! The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk away from Okayama station. Many eating spots nearby. Had a lovely breakfast at the bookstore nearby. My room is a capsule/pod room. It is very nice. A lot of space to put and hang all your stuff and even a tv. It is very safe. It can however be a bit noisy late at night. The public bath in the hotel closes at 1 in the morning and when people leave the onsen and come to their bed to sleep they can be noisy, blowdrying their hair and such. Still I had an okay sleep after that. Overall a very luxurious hotel!

This hotel was pretty good overall: Good location, plenty of amenities like the sento (plus regular showers if you prefer), option for regular room or the discounted cabin style rooms. Staff are friendly and they have free afternoon and evening drinks. I tried out their gym and I think it has what most people need, but mind you, the dumbbells only go up to about 45lbs. So if you're used to lifting more than that, this will just get you a minimal workout. I chose the cabin style room to save money. It comes with a safe to keep your valuables in and its honestly large enough to fit a lot of stuff in there. There is no lock on the door and the top part is actually open to the hallway. There is a whole tax reason I think for the specifications of what a cabin style is. So the obvious downside is the noise, since you’ll be exposed to the hallway and people moving around. They actually provided some earbuds to plug into the wall and I assume it plays music or something, I didn’t try it. I never felt unsafe and I didn’t have anyone go into my cabin while I was gone. Overall, the place should be given high consideration for future lodging.
