I had an issue with getting a receipt at the automatic payment machine. I pressed the “Receipt” button several times, but it didn’t respond at all. So I went to the front desk and asked a young female staff member to issue one. She seemed unsure how to handle it, but eventually helped me. However, what disappointed me was the attitude of the manager-like man who came over and said, “Please press the receipt button next time,” even though I had already tried multiple times and the machine wasn’t working. For a facility that advertises winning #1 in Chiba Prefecture, I expected more polite and considerate customer service. The spa itself is great, but experiences like this lower the overall impression.
You should definitely use it. My friend didn't understand Japanese, so I was in a bit of trouble, so I'll leave a note.Leave your shoes in the locker at the entrance on the second floor of the building and cross the gate. If you want to use all the facilities, apply at the counter on the left. If you just want to take a bath, go down the stairs on the right and go to the first floor. There is a staff member at the entrance to explain it, but please note that you may not be able to speak English. Also, people with tattoos can't use the facility without hiding it.
Amazing Onsen & sauna experience for the whole family ! There are to many features to list them all up 8 indoor pools, three outside, dry and steam saunas. Hot Stone & aroma saunas. Restaurant, detox bars, multiple relaxation areas including soft cushions, tents, capsels, huge reading corners, a terrace etc. Even tables, work desks, mini one man booths, and free flow detox waters for those who need to get work done or are on worcation trip. USB charging ports and sockets even at Restaurant tables. We spent usually 3-5 hours with the family. It's an experience you deserve !! Crowned No 1 in 2023 and 2024 Sauna competition. Hard to describe in words, do yourself a favor - experience it ! 😂 🤣
Very big spa that is made with pretty low budget but is well maintained and clean despite the heavy use. The Ganban'yoku area saunas were not that great. The sento side was better but the saunas were too hot and this is why dry. But better than in many other Japanese saunas. I liked the salt scrub steam sauna and sento with very many options for bath temperature: the hottest was more than 43 degrees and the coldest 8 degrees if I remember right. The system is a bit confusing as you take one key for the shoe locker but need another one later in the dressing room. No towels included in the basic price but you get them in a vending machine.
Went here 3 months after it opened, just to see if my husband would still have the same opinion of it after he first went in May. His opinion is unchanged. I’m not a sauna junkie myself so my expectations were not set too high (I think). If you don’t look at the website you’ll find that the female side has three saunas 1. dry with auto loyly, aka their Dragon sauna (can seat around 20 people with social distancing); 2. Self loyly (can seat 4 people at a time); and 3. Aroma and salt sauna (10 seats available at a time). The last sauna also had a facial scrub available. The self loyly area had a big neon light sign on the building, with the word SAUNA on it. There are also 2 cold water baths, the outside one having a depth of 120cm. Husband claims that the male side has 3 cold water baths with varying temperatures. The shower area had amenities from Kosei and a facial wash for each bather. The children’s bath indoor had their own TV, the only one in the entire bathing area. The larger baths were lit up by tiny lights that looked fireflies. There were lots of chairs around as well as about 10 deck chairs to lie down in outside. There were 5 personal baths outside all filled with carbonated water. All other normal spa features were available too. In the changing area, there was a diaper changing board available. The powder rooms had good cosmetics and a high-end blow dryer which I think made a difference in the price between the regular Ryusenji and this branch. If you drive and plan to go shopping at the mall before doing the spa, I recommend parking at the mall and moving your car to the spa after. You’ll end up with a huge bill to pay if you park for long at Spa Metsa’s facility as they seem to give only 60 plus minutes of free parking. Overall, I though this spa was a cross hybrid of Spa Herbs (Saitama City) and Ryusenji (Soka).
