My fiancée and I went here for my birthday and it was absolutely incredible from the first step in the building to our last. We walked into a tranquil sanctuary and were greeted by a lovely man named Kohei, who spoke perfect English (so was easy to communicate for us tourists). He explained clearly how our Gin-no take spa session would work and guided us through what was included in the package we had selected. The facilities were amazing with a hot onsen made of rocks that was very comfortable. The cold pool was the perfect temperature and size, and the sauna (with our chosen fragrance) was suuuuper relaxing. There were many complementary items as well which really enhanced the experience, and comfortable sitting spots that we enjoyed. It has an insanely good price for the facilities and the amount of time allowed. Our only regret is that we wish we could have stayed longer! I would love to spend every birthday at Takenoya Dotonbori if I could. The service and care we received from Kohei made my birthday extra special, helping us through every step of making this wonderful experience. Definitely a 5-star experience and worth the cost

This was by for my favorite stop in Osaka! Right outside of Dontonburi is a private luxurious onsen experience that is completely foreigner and tattoo friendly. We were greeted with warm smiles and drinks. Being brought straight to our room with refreshments and robes. This is a must stop spot if you are looking for a romantic onsen for you and your significant other especially if you are having trouble finding a shareable onsen experience. There is nothing forgotten in this experience with drinks, speakers for music, a tv for entertainment and the option to easily order Uber Eats if you are looking for a longer stay. We were absolutely amazed by the attention to detail from heated racks for warm towels and complimentary amenities for when you are finished from hair dryers, flat irons, hair ties, etc. We opted for the 2 hour experience and wished we did the 4 hours! A must stop on the bucket list for tradition Japanese experiences. The staff is absolutely lovely with great English and friendly attitudes. We will be coming back every time we visit Osaka.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Takenoya Dotonbori! We booked the 2-hour private bath and sauna, and it exceeded every expectation. The space was spotless, serene, and beautifully designed—an oasis of calm right in the heart of Central Osaka. Having the bath and sauna completely to ourselves made the experience feel so luxurious and relaxing. The sauna was perfectly heated, the bath was deeply soothing, and everything felt thoughtfully curated for comfort and privacy. The complimentary drinks were a huge plus and added such a nice, unexpected touch to the experience, making it feel even more elevated and indulgent. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—close to Dotonbori’s energy, yet once inside, it feels peaceful and quiet. If you’re looking for a private, elevated onsen-style experience in Osaka, Takenoya Dotonbori is a must. We loved every minute and would absolutely return!

100% recommend! My partner and I had a blast, they had Netflix available so we watched the new stranger things season and listened to music on YouTube. The staff are very welcoming and super friendly. Great value for money! Highly recommend, feeling very refreshed for our trip back home :)

This place was worth the time, money and the staff is really nice! There was two nice people working there. We didn't get the name of the worker that checked us in but Both her and Ni was polite and nice. We booked this not so long ago and it was only a 10 minute drive from our APA hotel and such a good place to relax! We chose the [Kin-no-take] which is a wood bath as opposed to a rock bath I believe but all the amenities for two people was great! Cold plunge, sauna and Onsen bath. You can really feel like you are relaxed and at home. We didn't play loud music or party it up. Although yes you can play music and such compared to other Onsens, you have to be more considerate of others around you. Tattoo friendly(we weren't heavily decorate but still...) area, nice location, very easy in our experience and great value for the money.
