空庭温泉 OSAKA BAY TOWER

This is not your traditional kind of onsen but a great way to experience one nonetheless. Payment and how to get all supplies was very straightforward. After getting changed you can easily find your otherhalf. We first enjoyed some time together on the shared rooftop with the foodbaths. It was sunny so perfect to sit outside. The food is more like snacking but not bad, drinks are nice. When inside the onsen, observe locals and do as they do. There are may different baths to try which is nice and relaxing.

A family of four, we all had a really good time, we hired the private bath. We were pretty informed of the fees (entry and private bath being separate) so the checking in was pretty smooth. The service was generally friendly. I even lost my key one time and they helped me find it. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I recommend it for an easy onsen experience, just do a bit of research and I think it will make the experiment pretty smooth.

I had a really enjoyable experience at Solaniwa Onsen. When I first entered, I could choose a yukata. The first one I picked had a small tear, but it wasn’t a big problem—I returned it easily and exchanged it for another one without any trouble. My favorite part was the sauna area, which costs an extra 1,100 yen and allows free entry and exit, featuring six different sauna rooms with various temperatures and styles. There is also a free recliner chairs and book area with a large collection of manga, and it was so quiet and comfortable that I even took a short nap. 😹 Overall, it’s a relaxing and well-organized place that I would definitely visit again.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the instructions were easy to understand even for non-Japanese speakers. The yukata experience was also fun, with many designs to choose from. We visited as a family, and it was comfortable and enjoyable for both adults and children. The resting areas were spacious, and the food options were delicious with reasonable prices. Overall, Solaniwa Onsen offers a perfect mix of traditional Japanese culture and modern comfort. We were very satisfied with our visit and would highly recommend it to families, couples, and tourists visiting Osaka. We would love to visit again!

Remember to arrive slightly earlier than your appointment time, to give yourself some time to change into yukata before entering the onsen. For those who are more conscious and prefer not to use the public baths, private baths can be booked in advance — a great option that adds comfort and peace of mind. One useful tip: all food and drink purchases are charged through the wrist tag, so remember to keep it with you at all times (and don’t confuse it with the shoe locker key tag!). Located at Osaka Bay Tower and easily accessible by subway, the onsen is very convenient to get to. Overall, a soothing and enjoyable experience — highly recommended for anyone visiting Osaka and looking to unwind.
