Best onsen. They have natural spring water and an outdoor onsen pool. Pretty. Ojichan owner is very kind and friendly. He might have given me soap and shampoo for free or I just didn’t know there’s a small charge

I had a pretty good time here. Felt very local and was very affordable as a high school student. Would recommend for those wanting a more authentic Japanese experience with that hidden gem vibes

It's very local and old school, but that's a good thing. Upon entering, there's lockers in the entry area for shoes, and as you go through the ladies or gents entrance, there larger lockers big enough to fit backpacks inside. This area is also the changeroom which had a TV, some seats, and for the gents side was also in full view of the payment counter that's manned at any one time by personnel including a lady and an older couple. Accept there's little privacy beyond the front door here. After you go through the indoor public bath area which included a single shower and multiple seated wash bath taps, and a couple of small indoor spa baths with jets that you probably wouldn't get into with a stranger. There's also a sauna inside with a temperature of about 30C that has a couple of two metre long benches. Outside is the traditional man made onsen feature with a rock wall, a bamboo pipe with a constant flow of water into the onsen, and a couple of additional taps that can be turned on for additional heated water. The size of the oval shaped bath was about 3m by less than 3m. The water was well heated, a little above my preference although others seemed to enjoy the warmer water, and it was a medium brown colour like a mild murky coffee. Overall, totally worth it for the relaxation to the body, joints, and feet if you've been walking heaps it brings. When I was there, there were only locals and mainly retired men in the gents section. If you look new, some will try and help you, and I ended up having a short conversation with a local. The price was an affordable ¥490 for entry, plus ¥50 for towel rental that's large enough to dry yourself with if you didn't bring your own. However, you should bring your own toiletries.

Went there during my visit in Kanazawa, to be honest because it was the only one open in my vicinity. And it was great! The water as soothing, and it's much more like an actual Onsen, than just a public bath. The water has great quality and I even saw one of the Japanese customers drink it. Things to take note of: it's cheap, yes, but it's also small, so better come in a small group as to not to disturb the local regulars. The small towel is included in the price, and you will receive it at the entrance, where you should also hand it back to the owner when you leave. The locals are really nice, which isn't always the case in Japan, so engage in conversation if you can!
