9HOTEL TENJIN

Nice hotel, with new facilities. Quite cramped in the rooms, and could be better thought out, e.g. more shelving and spaces for hanging clothes and other things in the bedroom, shelving/space for toiletries in the bathroom, and having hooks/rails to hang towels. Otherwise, generally clean and well presented.

Had a fantastic stay at 9Hotel Tenjin! The in-room sauna was an absolute highlight — such a rare luxury and perfect after a day exploring Fukuoka. The room itself was beautifully designed, quiet, and spotlessly clean. What truly stood out was the staff: warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to assist with forwarding luggage to the next destination, which made the journey so much smoother. Great location, beautiful design, and exceptional service — Definitely recommended!

This hotel looks kind of basic and unassuming from the outside but I found it to be a bit of a hidden gem. The location is great, within easy walking distance of some of the most interesting districts of Fukuoka, though not particularly close to the central station if you're arriving by train. The rooms are very comfortable, with excellent amenities and a space-efficient design that doesn't feel cramped, as many Japanese hotels often do. The front desk staff prepared a simple breakfast (waffles and coffee) each morning which gave me a good start to the day. While there are no washing machines, there is a good coin laundry very close by. There is, however, a microwave for heating your own food, and a sauna available to book. The elevator is accessible directly from the street, which is convenient when entering or leaving. I'd recommend this hotel. I found it great for being in the center of the action in Fukuoka while not breaking the bank.

Clean and charming little hotel, tucked inside a quieter part of tenjin. Feels very rested every time we come back here. The bookable private sauna and cold pool is great as well. All in all, a perfect stay and definitely would stay again.
