大和温泉

It was my first time visiting a public bathhouse, and I honestly didn’t understand why anyone would pay just to take a bath — but I was completely wrong. The experience was incredibly relaxing, and I ended up having the best sleep that night. The place had basic amenities, nothing fancy, but it felt authentic and very local. I was the only tourist there, which made it feel even more special. Highly recommend trying it at least once if you’re in Japan — it’s more than just a bath; it’s a whole experience.

One of the best onsen we have visited. Clean, quiet and spacious. Several bath tubs including one with cold water and a sauna comfortable for up to 4 people.

Quite enjoyed the facilities at this onsen. The baths were just the right temperature and so was the sauna. The place is quite rundown though, with the woodwork coming apart inside the sauna and the place generally showing its age. The sauna itself is also quite cramped. Body soap and shampoo had to be bought at an extra charge whereas it would usually be included in other places, this is offset though by the onsen being quite cheap to enter (around 500 yen).

Local public bath that's a bit rundown, it's really cheap to enter but you are expected to bring your own shampoo, soap and towels etc. You can rent/buy all you need but it's best to bring your own if possible. The facilities are fairly small with one hot bath and one cold bath. There's also a sauna that's quite old and doesn't feel the most fresh due to the wood falling apart a bit. It definitely will give you the local public bath feel if you're interested in having it. Overall a pleasant experience and I would go again if I was in the area!

This Onsen was very nice and well maintained. If you do not speak Japanese and have the common sense and proper etiquette this place is easy to navigate. Bring your own everything you would to the shower though they sell toiletries there for a very reasonable price. ¥440/adult ¥150/kids to get in the onsen everything else extra.
