5件Nice spa/relaxation resort. The process is very simple and smooth once you get used to it: you get a bracelet with an IC chip inside it at the entrance, and every paid service inside is registered to your chip. You tally up everything on the chip and pay at an automated register near the exit. Pretty futuristic, even. They have a restaurant, a snacks/smoothie bar, a massage parlor, and some other spa facilities I didn't really look at. They're all ringed around a central lounge area with a bunch of couches and tables and such, where you can just sort of chill out. I even saw people napping. Then of course, there's the hot springs. First of all, it does appear to be fed by a natural hot spring. They have a good variety of different spring types, from foot baths to some interesting jacuzzi-style massagers, to recliners with hot water running down them. They also have two saunas. I think my only issue is almost all of them are too tepid in temperature for my taste. They only had 2 baths at 40C+, and one of them was 43, which was uncomfortably hot. They also have two saunas, but I didn't go in so I can't tell you about those. Overall though, it's a clean, modern, facility and it's clear a lot of thought and effort went into its design. I would go again. Some other miscellaneous notes: * They accept pretty much all the typical payment options. Cash, credit, QR code, even train IC cards. * There are free lockers. The onsen also provides soap, shampoo, conditioner and face wash. * Towels are available for extra from vending machines.
Shame on (Ryusenji no) Yu! There is no drinking fountain inside of the spa. You have to pay close to 1700 or 2000 yen depending on the time of the day to get into the spa area, and there is no drinking fountain available. The only drinks available are of course from a vending machine that costs additional money. There is a drinking fountain in the changing room near the hot spring, but you must swipe your wrist band at a turnstile and walk half way through the building to access the drinking fountain. Shame on the management for not having a drinking fountain in the spa area. The saunas and hot rock spas are from 50 degrees to well over 90, and there are signs on the doors that say drinking water is a "must!" This is a shameful money grab! Access to water is a human right and a human necessity. Please install a cost-free, free access drinking fountain in the spa area. Thank you.
The spa and onsen are equipped with new, modern facilities, with just a key ring from the door you can deposit items, buy food, drinks and pay using a fully automated machine.
The best super sento ever. Sauna lovers must visit. They did a great job designing two unique saunas and cold water baths. It's clear the renovations tried to do something unique to appeal to what's popular with people these days. And it worked. The restaurant is good too. They have great chicken wings. Truly top tier wings. It's always a little more expensive than I expect. But it's really one of the best places to take a bath. I hope the quality stays consistent as the facilities age.
Not a place for Onsen lovers. The bath room smells chlorine. Even a simple open air bath, without any gimmicks for a single person, which claims natural hot spring, smells strong chlorine. I need to take a shower to remove chlorine smell. Every time I press the button to get shower water the temperature of the water resets to cold. You need to press a button continuously before the water stops to avoid this phenomenon. If you don’t care about chlorine and noisy people, you can enjoy this place.
